Back to Reality. Sort of.

It has been a while since my last post and much has happened since then.

I completed my study abroad program at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, leaving behind the cold and snow mid December.

I spent a night in San Francisco on the way home purely to eat sourdough from the Boudin Bakery. If you have not tried their sourdough bread you are missing out!

I was fortunate to score an upgrade using points to business class with Qantas making the long flight home very comfortable, unlike my flight over.

After 3 days at home it was time to take off again. This time the destination was Sydney to board a cruise on Ovation of the Seas around New Zealand for the holiday period.

More on all of this later in upcoming posts.

After returning home, I had a couple of days of rest before a week of appointments. One of my appointments happens to be in Melbourne, so I might as well make a night of it! I am back to my favourite hotel and on my own the ridiculous bathroom door isn’t an issue. A different river view this time with the ocean in the distance.

It feels good to be back in Melbourne, the city I plan on moving to when I graduate university at the end of this year.

Until then I have many stories to tell and follow up posts to write so stay tuned!

The question is not 'where have I been' but 'where haven't I been'. I can guarantee if I haven't been, it's on the list! I am an Aussie who loves to travel and I have currently been to 64 countries over 6 continents with no plans on slowing down anytime soon. I have even undertaken 2 study abroad experiences, a semester in North Carolina at Appalachian State University and two weeks in Tokyo at Seisen University. Also cruised 24 times, so far. Join me as I share my experiences, tips and reviews of all things travel and foreign.
